Preparing The Body’s Skin for Summer

Here at Essential Beauty Supplies, we are excited for the summer. Long days on the beach and nights with friends around a barbecue, sounds good, doesn’t it?

But before summer is truly upon us it is essential to prepare the skin for longer exposure to the sun.

Here are some of our favourite products, along with some tips you can share with your clients to get their skin summer ready:

Hydrate – Drink plenty of water! As temperatures rise water prevents the body from heating up and normalises body temperature which in turn prevents heat rashes and other skin issues.

Exfoliate – Keep skin feeling silky smooth with freshly exfoliated skin. Kaeso, Outback Organics, Hive and Afterspa all have wonderful exfoliators and scrubs that you can choose from. We especially love the smell of Kaeso Cranberry & Passionfruit Sugar Body Scrub which is perfect for your treatments in the salon!

Moisturise – A luxurious body moisturiser is a quick route to feeling great! It improves the results of exfoliation and waxing, prolongs a tan and prevents aging. All things we’re fans of here. An intense body mask can also be a lovely treat in summer, keeping skin in tip-top condition. The Kaeso Kaolin Clay and Mango Firming Body Mask smells good enough to eat and will leave skin refreshed and plumped.

Wax – Hair removal is very much optional, but it’s a core part of the beauty business. Whichever hair you choose to keep or lose, we recommend waxing as an efficient method for all areas. Sun Care-After sun exposure, Aloe Vera is one of the best natural solutions around to help soothe and calm the skin, and the Outback Organics gel comes with the added benefit of Beta Glucan, a natural alternative to hyaluronic acid that’s derived from oats for deeper moisturising.
